The beauty of summer is in the weather, which makes for spontaneous events and gatherings. That’s one of the best things about the season in my opinion. With that in mind, it’s a sound idea to have a few easy looks in your back pocket for whatever the season may bring. This not only streamlines your schedule but allows you to enjoy the moment instead of fretting about what to wear. I know how dreadful piecing together looks can be when you’re busy, so I wanted to share an entire week’s worth of casual summer outfits that you can copy and paste. The fits ahead cover both the hottest trends as well as more classic ensembles that won’t be up for debate.
1. Denim Jacket, Basic Tee & Split Hem Jeans
There’s no better way to ease into summer than with updated basics. A denim moto jacket, tissue weight t-shirt and split hem jeans feel put together but still on-trend. Opt for white tones since it’ll reflect heat.
2. Tweed Jacket, Basic Bodysuit & Cutoff Shorts
If a denim jacket doesn’t make your outfit feel exciting enough, reach for a ladylike tweed jacket that you can throw on top of a bodysuit and cutoff shorts.
3. Stripe Knit Dress
For girls who love to keep trends at the forefront of their wardrobe, it’s time to try out a colorful striped knit dress. While any footwear will do here, beaded lace-up heels that pack a punch, like this, are sure to up the ante.
4. Cardigan Set & Baggy Jeans
My biggest complaint about summer is trying to manage the freezing temperatures indoors with the sweltering outside heat. That’s where cardigan sets come into play. I can always rely on a sweater knit cami to look endlessly chic with jeans. A matching cardigan is the perfect layer to throw on or peel off.
5. Workout Set, Blazer & High-Top Sneakers
A seamless workout set and a roomy blazer is a no-fail outfit formula you can rely on all summer long. For extra style points, complete the look with high-top sneakers and a baseball cap.
6. Oversized Button-Down Shirt & Miniskirt
I’m stoked for the return of miniskirts. They’re such a great leg-lengthener for us petite girls. However, I’ll admit that the leg-baring look can feel too risque, so I’ll be balancing mine out with a loose button-down shirt. Take your pick of a tuck to tie everything together whether that’s a half, front or full tuck.
7. Denim Jacket, Sports Bra & Joggers
Bra tops and oversized jackets are the ultimate summer pairing. For a model-off-duty vibe, my styling of choice is a denim jacket and jogger pants.
